GEO MEMBRANE ADHESIVE – POLCOAT

GEO MEMBRANE ADHESIVE

It is a two-component, hydrophobic and solvent-free polyurethane adhesive especially for geomembrane applications.

Made of high density polyethylene, it is a polyurethane adhesive product produced to prevent leakage, especially in joints, for geomembrane that provides impermeability in projects such as regular solid waste storage areas, mine waste storage areas, acid pools, tank fields, ponds and irrigation channels.

Product Features:

Physical state- viscous liquid
Color – White
Recommended Usage- 1-1,1 kg / m²
Mixing Ratio by Weight – (A: B) 21: 4
First Drying Time – 8 hours
Pot life – 20-30 min
Full curing – 7 days

Application:

Before starting the mixing process, make sure that the product temperatures are between + 15⁰C and + 25⁰C. Before mixing, mix components A and B separately with a mechanical drill and paddle at very low speed. Gradually add component B to component A and mix until a homogeneous consistency (About 3 minutes). Pour the contents into a clean container and mix for a few more minutes. Please avoid high speed mixing and do not add solvent etc. to the mixture during the application process. Do not add.
Avoid application when excessive heat or wind, rain and / or ambient and / or surface temperature is below + 10⁰C or above + 30 .C. In extremely cold conditions, heaters should be used to increase the environment and the workability of the product.
After mixing, it can be applied to the surface with a brush, roller, trowel or squeegee. Combination max. 20 minutes at approx. + 20⁰C. In order to achieve maximum mechanical and chemical resistance, the product will be fully cured in a minimum of 7 days. Reaction times are longer at low temperatures, which increases pot life, coating interval and working time. High temperatures increase chemical reactions and the time indicated above decreases accordingly. After the application, the material should be protected from direct contact with water for at least 24 hours. During this time, contact with water may cause surface blistering, carbonation and / or surface tackiness, both of which need to be removed. In such cases, the entire coating should be removed from the floor and renewed.
