Epoxy primer is a two-component material for use especially on smooth or dense surfaces. Because it is solvent-free and low viscosity, it can be applied using a roller, brush or spray equipment.
. On interior and exterior surfaces
. Concrete and cement based mineral surfaces
. On highly absorbent surfaces
. Primer applications for Kenncoat brand epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic and polyurea floor coverings,
. Joining epoxy-based leveling mortar and mortar coatings,
. As aggregate or repair mortar
. To increase adhesion to metal surfaces

Application:
Before starting the mixing process, make sure that the product temperatures are between + 15⁰C and + 25⁰C. Before mixing, mix the A and B components with a mechanical mixer at a very low speed. Gradually add component B to component A and mix until a homogeneous consistency (about 3-5 minutes). If it is used as a repair mortar, add aggregate after mixing A and B components. Pour into a clean, dry container and mix for a few more minutes. Avoid high speed mixing and do not add any solvent, thinner to the mixture during the application procedure.
Avoid application in extreme heat, sun, wind, rain, when the surface temperature is below + 10⁰C or above + 30⁰C. In extreme cold conditions, heaters should be used to increase the workability of the environment and the product.
After mixing, primer; It can be applied to the surface using a brush, roller, trowel or squeegee. Make sure that a continuous, non-porous coating covers the substrate. Apply two coats as needed. To increase the adhesion of the epoxy or PU layer to be coated on the surface, aggregate (200-500 microns thick) can be mixed with the primer or applied to the surface by sprinkling. The prepared product should be applied within 20-30 minutes. Waiting time between coats should be at least 10 hours and maximum 48 hours at + 20 ° C. If it is waited for more than 48 hours, the surface should be sanded. The product must dry completely within at least 7 days to achieve maximum mechanical and chemical resistance. Reaction times increase at low temperatures, which increases pot life, coating interval and working time. High temperatures increase chemical reactions and the time specified above decreases accordingly. After the application, the material should be protected from direct contact with water for at least 24 hours. Contact with water during this time may cause a carbonated surface and / or surface tack that needs to be removed. In such cases, the overall coating must be removed from the floor and renewed. Epoxy and polyurethane floor systems should be made by experts.
Cleaning of the equipment used should be done with organic solvents such as thinner, butyl acetate.
